Believer/Devourer followed a very long and winding road to the final form it eventually took, leaving a long trail of unfinished product in its wake. The final album is probably like the 4th version of the album I attempted. Tracks 1-11 are pretty much "version 2" of the album in its entirety; the remainder consists of tracks from "version 3" as well as some tracks that floated around being considered for one version or another but never quite making the cut. "Version 1" never really existed as more than a series of phone voice memos and jotted down chord progressions and ideas that got used elsewhere anyway, so it's not really relevant or worth representing here.

These are all of course rough mixes, unmastered, many of them conceived with vocal melodies and harmonies in mind that I just wasn't in a place to execute to my liking yet. I think there were some cool ideas here but ultimately I'd rather move on and just release them as is, warts and all, and who knows maybe some of them will emerge from their cocoon at some time in the future actually sounding good lol.
